Fencing

A g r i S c a p e provides a direct fencing service to support other activities such as hedge laying, hedge and tree planting or where habitat or access restrictions require a sensitive or small scale approach.

Larger scale, commercial stock fencing solutions can be arranged and supervised for clients when needed as part of larger projects.

Dry-Stone Walling

Dry-stone walls and lime mortared walls are another essential part of the Mendip and south Somerset landscape. Some dry-stone walls have stood for hundreds of years without need of repair.

Many miles of dry-stone walling is however now derelict and will sadly not be repaired with modern fencing having taken its place

Walls vary in height but all those in an area have the distinctive face created by the nature of the particular stone

A g r i S c a p e is able to construct new dry-stone walls or repair sections or restore whole lengths of wall using Mendip Limestone, Draycott Stone or the warm coloured Ham Hill Stone of South Somerset

Some parish or other important walls in the Mendip area are mortared. Walls can be built or repaired in this way, with lime mortars when appropriate.
